The
Leetsdale COP Shop is operated by citizen volunteers in partnership
with the Denver Police Department serving Virginia Village / Ellis,
Cook
Park, Lynwood, George Washington, Lowry and Windsor Gardens
neighborhoods.
The purpose of a COP Shop
is to create and maintain a partnership between community residents and
law enforcement officials to help prevent crime, improve safety and
offer solutions to community problems in the Denver area. This is done
by providing a convenient place for citizens and local businesses to
be able to report and/or file police counter reports for such actions
as non injury auto accidents, thefts, graffiti, theft from motor
vehicles, malicious mischief, drug and gang activity. COP Shops also
assist the public with such city related matters as zoning violations,
neighborhood cleanup and traffic problems.
COP Shops also serve as a a facility where Denver Police Officers can
complete their reports, access their electronic mail, meet with the
community and perform other policing duties while away from their local
district sub-station.
We are currently
