In Partnership with
the Denver Police Department
|
|

The COP Shop is a 100% volunteer
organization requiring no prior experience. After a background check by
the Denver Police Department, approved applicants will receive
on-the-job training by experienced volunteers. Refresher courses are
frequently offered by Police officers. Continuous education is made
possible by members of various divisions of the Denver Police
Department and other city agencies.
As a trained volunteer you will be able
to offer all of the services outlined in the section titled "Services"
You will play a major role in helping to improve communications between
citizens, the business community and the Denver Police Department.
As a volunteer. you choose the
days you wish to work. There is no minimum or maximum hours required.
However, to keep abreast of changes, and to maintain confidence in your
ability to function as a COP Shop volunteer, it would be your advantage
to work at least two to three days a month.
So, if you are civic minded,
here is an excellent opportunity for you to get involved in a very
gratifying community service.
