The Community Bridge
COP Shop
is operated by volunteers. We work with the Denver Police Department to
assist them with citizen complaints, accident reports and various other
activities that would normally require a trip to the district station.
The Denver
Police Department shares the use of our facility so the volunteers get
to interact with them and learn more about the daily activities of the
neighborhood police and crime in the community.
"The Mission of the Cop
Shop is to decrease crime in the neighborhoods of Northeast Denver,
increase communication with the District 2 Police Department, and
provide resources on safety issues, job training, and other community
resources to residents. The Cop Shop is called the Community
Bridge Cop Shop as it is designed to be a bridge between
neighborhoods and the Police department. Beneficiaries of the project
are the neighborhoods of Clayton, Cole, Elyria/Swansea, Whittier, and
North City Park/Skyland."
